Another Monday Holiday

Labor Day. The Unofficial end of Summer. Our pool is open for the last day of the season today. This makes me sad.

The weather is getting a bit cooler. It is chilly in the morning now, and not as humid. I actually got cold sitting at the pool last night at 7:00. I hadn't even gotten into the pool. Fall.

School is in full gear as well. Last week we started attending a local home school co-op group. The girls both loved it. I was a bit at sea, since I wasn't quite sure where I was supposed to be at what time. But, otherwise, it was wonderful.

Each girl has 3 class periods. Amanda has Nuts & Bolts, Spanish and Sewing. Katie has Current Events, Spanish and Sign Language. One of the moms makes lunch in the church kitchen, so we are participating in that as well.

Katie seemed to enjoy it. She was sitting with the other tween/teens at lunch and knew a couple of people when we got there. Amanda liked all 3 of her classes, and is ready to get some fabric to make her skirt in sewing.

I also met a couple of new people - Moms like me who were new to the co-op. I think it will be good for all of us.
